Fonteintjies is private property. We do not allow access to the public. We do not offer rentals.
Fonteintjies is a smallholding 4 km from the small coastal village of Vleesbaai. The house is set on an 8 hectare property with natural dunes and fynbos vegetation, within the Fransmanshoek Conservancy. Fonteintjies offers prime sea views, and a private footpath to a secluded beach.
The region is known for its year-round mild climate, golden beaches, and an array of natural, cultural, and historical attractions.
Mossel Bay is just 30 km away, and George is 70 km away. This area is considered part of the Garden Route, and other Garden Route destinations such as Knysna or Plettenberg Bay are within reach for a day trip. Oudtshoorn is also within easy reach.
The house is suitable for up to 6 guests and has three bedrooms sleeping 2 each. We have a dormitory-style annex in another building a few metres from the house, with bunk beds for another 4 guests.
The house offers one bathroom with bathtub, shower, and hand basin, and there is a separate toilet. The annex has its own toilet, and access to a separate shower. Bedding and bathroom towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels.
The kitchen in the house is fully equipped with all modern conveniences including a dishwasher, while the annex has a kitchenette.
The large dining and living areas provide ample space to enjoy a meal or a board game from our huge games selection. The sun room offers the most amazing views and is the perfect place to relax with a book.
Soak up the sun and spot whales and dolphins from the deck, or unwind with a game of darts in the large braai area.
Whale season is between June and October, and dolphins can sometimes be seen in the bay. The location also offers excellent bird watching opportunities.
Come swim in the sea, hike, enjoy the incredibly bright stars at night, go fishing, or just enjoy the serene surroundings.
With an awesome location, easy-going vibe, and great surroundings to explore, waking up at Fonteintjies is bound to be an experience you’ll never forget.
